Community Relations

Inspiring the Next Generation of Great Engineers

At PTC, we are dedicated to supporting corporate community programs — near our headquarters in Needham, Massachusetts, at our offices across the USA and abroad, in schools and universities around the world and throughout the manufacturing industry.

Our corporate contributions and community programs target key areas and leverage expertise from our world-renowned Global Education Program. PTC’s solutions are used by more than 50,000 companies worldwide and are, quite simply, the “language of engineering.” PTC is bringing these same solutions to middle-school, high-school and university students around the globe, teaching them how to develop first rate engineering and critical thinking skills.

We highlight the role of technology in our community programs as a tool to enhance educational standards — and particularly to inspire young people to pursue the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and math.

PTC is also focused on strengthening relationships with our customers and employees through a variety of community programs. Our company’s employees and customers contribute their time, financial resources and, perhaps most importantly, their compassion in recognizing the critical community and educational needs of our contemporary society.

Programs

PTC and FIRST
PTC is a proud sponsor of FIRST — For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.

FIRST’s mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting, mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills. The FIRST program inspires innovation that fosters well-rounded life capabilities — including self-confidence, communication and leadership.

City Year
City Year unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them skills and opportunities to change the world.

PTC participates in many events for this national volunteering program, including Team Sponsorship, Mentoring Programs, Service Days and an annual fundraising event.

Pan Mass Challenge
For years, PTC employees have developed a team and participated in this fundraising bike-a-thon that benefits the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund. The PTC team fundraises and rides in memory of those PTC employees who have lost their battle to cancer.
